The Wilderness

In January our family started a new journey. Some would deem it a non traditional path. We started traveling with my husband's job. We packed up our cars and headed to Louisiana for work that would allow us to pay our bills and give my husband experience in a trade. We have lived in two different towns in Louisiana since then. It has not been the easiest to say the least. At times we have felt like we were in the wilderness but as of late I have been learning that not everything is bad in the wilderness. It has given us the opportunity to see God work and provide for us. I know He does that even while we are home but it I have been paying more close attention to the day to day. Just like the children of Israel when they set off for their trek in the wilderness we have longed for the comforts of home; for the familiarity of our town, recognizable faces, our house, the tire swings, friends, and neighbors that care about you. But we set out knowing that this was how God would provide for us and He has time and time again. Daniel has had two raises and a promotion in seven months time. Our needs have been met!
